Beginning on or about Monday, May 2nd, Halifax Water through its contractor Dexter Construction Limited, will be modifying existing infrastructure on and adjacent to 531Crown Drive.
The building located at 531 Crown Drive will be dismantled. As part of this project new water lines will be installed in the area of 531 Crown Drive. The majority of the work will take place off street and near existing Halifax Water buildings.
It is estimated work will be completed by the end of August, weather permitting. The hours of work will be Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm with weekends as required.
The field adjacent to Crown Drive will remain open during construction. Temporary fencing will be erected around the work site for the safety of residents and park users. Parking will be reduced during the work, but will be expanded as part of the project reinstatement.
There will be increased truck traffic on Crown Drive during certain phases of the work. A temporary truck turning area, which must remain accessible to construction vehicles at all times, will be added at the end of Crown Drive.
Periodic water shutdowns will be required as part of this work and will be timed to minimize inconvenience. Affected residents will be given advanced notice.
On site personnel will maintain communication with local residents to help minimize disruption.
We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
