Halifax Water crews will be undertaking sewer system maintenance beginning Sunday, February 25th at various locations along Gottingen Street.
Work is scheduled to get underway at 6 a.m. Sunday morning at the intersection of Gottingen Street and North Street. The traffic lights at the intersection will be shutdown and traffic control personnel will be on-site. There will be stop and go traffic in the work zone.
Sewer system maintenance will also take place Sunday morning near 2531 and 2458 Gottingen Street. There will be stop and go traffic in the work zone. Traffic control personnel will be on-site.
It is estimated work at all locations will be completed around 10am Sunday morning, weather permitting.
There will be no loss of municipal services.
The sidewalks in the work zones will remain open. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
