Dexter Construction, on behalf of Halifax Water, currently has Ochterloney Street closed between Crichton Avenue and the intersection of Prince Albert Road as part of the Sullivan`s Pond Storm Sewer Replacement Project.
The closure of Ochterloney Street between Crichton Avenue and the intersection of Prince Albert Road will remain in effect until Friday, December 22nd, weather permitting. This road closure will be in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (see map below). The sidewalks within the work zone will be closed on both sides.
Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
Businesses in the vicinity of work area remain open.
