Dexter Construction, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be undertaking bypass piping work beginning Monday, August 21st as part of the Sullivan`s Pond Storm Sewer Replacement Project.
This storm sewer system work will require a lane drop on Ochterloney St. near the intersection of Prince Albert Rd. Monday, August 21st from 9am-4pm. There will be stop and go traffic in the work zone (see attached map). The sidewalk in the work zone will be closed.
This work will also require a lane closure on Prince Albert Rd. from the intersection of Ochterloney St. to the intersection of Pleasant St. from Monday, August 21st - Friday, August 25th. There will be no southbound traffic permitted in the work zone for the duration of this work. There will be northbound traffic flow only. The sidewalk in the work zone will be closed. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
