Police have charged a man for child sexual abuse and exploitation offences following a search of his residence in Dartmouth.
In May 2026, investigators in the Integrated Internet Child Exploitation Unit received information that a man was in possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material. Investigators executed a search warrant at the man’s residence on Crystal Drive in Dartmouth, where several electronic devices were seized for forensic analysis.
Adrian Rioux, 31, is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court at a later date to face charges of:
- Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material
- Breach of probation order in relation to children (x2)
Anyone with information on child sexual abuse and exploitation is asked to file a report by calling police at 902-490-5020 or by using Cybertip, Canada's National Tip Line for reporting online sexual exploitation of children, at www.cybertip.ca.
