Today marks the fourth anniversary of the homicide of Nelson Tyrelle Beals.
On June 11, 2022, at approximately 2:10 a.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of shots fired on Viscaya Place in Dartmouth. Officers located Nelson Beals, 34, who had been shot and was deceased, at a residence. The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service conducted an autopsy and ruled the manner of death to be a homicide.
Investigators believe there are people who have information that could help solve Nelson’s homicide. Investigators are asking them to do the right thing and share what they know with police. It is never too late to come forward as the smallest piece of information may be just what is needed to progress the investigation into Nelson’s homicide.
The Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate the case and ask that anyone with information about Nelson’s murder contact police at 902-490-5020.
