Liquiforce, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be undertaking wastewater (sewer) system cleaning, beginning on or about June 20th, as part of the Northwest Arm Trunk Sewer Replacement Project (the Underground Overhaul).
The wastewater system cleaning work will require a single lane closure on Quinpool Road from the Armdale Roundabout to Quinn Street until approximately July 16th. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in the inbounds lanes during morning peak traffic flow times. The lane drop will be reversed in the afternoon to maintain two lanes of traffic during afternoon peak traffic flow times. The single lane closures will remain in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week beginning on or about June 20th until approximately July 16th.
The hours of work will be Monday – Friday, 7am - 6pm, with night time, evening and weekend work as required.
The sidewalk adjacent to the outbound traffic lane will be closed. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.
Motorists are asked to use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
