Liquiforce, on behalf of Halifax Water, will be undertaking wastewater (sewer) system cleaning and rehabilitation, beginning on or about Monday, July 10th, as part of the Northwest Arm Trunk Sewer Replacement Project.
The wastewater system work will require a single lane closure on South Street from Webster Terrace to Cromwell Road until approximately July 17th, weather permitting. There will be stop and go traffic in the work zone. The single lane closure will remain in effect 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends. The hours of work will be 7am - 6pm, with night time, weekend and evening work as required.
Pedestrian access will be maintained. Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow around the work zone. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure improvement work may cause.
