UPDATE: Thirty-two-year-old Jade Louise Cyr will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon as a result of this incident.

UPDATE: With respect to the stabbing on Cunard Street, Halifax, the victim's injuries are believed to be not life-threatening.

Police are investigating a stabbing that took place on the evening of June 6 in Halifax.

On June 6 at 7:20 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the 5500 block of Cunard Street to a report of a man who had been stabbed. The victim, a 33-year-old man was transported to hospital and the status of his injuries are not known at this time. A woman was arrested at the scene without incident.

The investigation is in its early stages and there are no charges at this time. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016.
