The municipality is inviting residents to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the St. Mary’s Boat Club.
Built in 1905, the boat club was originally operated by the Young Men’s Temperance & Benevolent Society. It was established as the St. Mary’s Boat Club in 1919. Currently, the facility is host to various reception, summer camps, and canoe, kayak and stand up paddle board rentals.
The celebrations will include free canoe rentals, a performance by the Halifax Boys Honour Choir and light refreshments.

La municipalité invite les résidents à célébrer le centième anniversaire du St. Mary’s Boat Club.
Établi en 1905, le club de canotage était exploité à l’origine par la Young Men’s Temperance & Benevolent Society. Le club a reçu sa désignation de St. Mary’s Boat Club en 1919. À l’heure actuelle, l’installation est l’hôte de diverses réceptions, de camps d’été et de points de location de canots, de kayaks et de planches à pagaie.
Les célébrations comprendront la location gratuite de canots, une performance de la chorale Halifax Boys’ Honour et des rafraîchissements légers.
