Are you looking for something fun and adventurous do to with your family? Sign up for one of our Family learn to canoe sessions!
During these sessions, certified canoeing staff will teach you the basic skills of canoeing including:
- How to fit a life jacket
- The correct sizing of a paddle,
- Safety protocols
- Paddling techniques
- The anatomy of a canoe
- How to stern (steer ) the canoe
- and much more
Our canoes can accommodate a family of 5. When registering please only register one family member to book your spot.

Youth - Learn to Canoe
Learn to SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) @ Adventure Earth Centre - Graham's Grove
Tour the Lake Banook and learn to stand up paddleboard with certified staff. Emphasis will be on fun and increasing confidence on the water. All equipment will be provided. We recommend bringing your own PFD if you have one.

Learn to Canoe @ Adventure Earth Centre - Graham's Grove
Join us for a fun introduction to canoeing. Lean basic canoe safety and paddling techniques. Emphasis will be on fun and participation. All equipment will be provided. We recommend bringing your own PFD if you have one.

Youth Overnight Canoe Trip @ Adventure Earth Centre - Fleming Park
This two-night canoe adventure will involve paddling on the Friday to a wilderness location and camping for in the woods. After spending our Saturday exploring the area, hiking, and canoeing, the group will depart Sunday morning. Exact location of overnight to be determined. Participants must attend at least one information session to run through equipment essentials and plan the trip as a group.
