Parks & Recreation wants to engage your community with the R.E.C. Van and Try-A-Ride. Beginning in July, we will spend the summer visiting public parks, municipal beaches, spray pads, playgrounds and seniors homes throughout the municipality providing free recreational sports and activities to children, youth, families and seniors.
Residents can try something new or take part in their favourite outdoor activity. The R.E.C. van is stacked with equipment for more than 50 different activities and sports, including baseball, basketball, soccer, washer toss, giant checkers, archery, skipping and much more!
Check out the schedule below and our Facebook Page for our scheduled stops all summer long.

Try-A-Ride is a free program for all ages that travels throughout the municipality. We bring bikes, skateboards and scooters to teach people how to safely ride and maintain the equipment, as well as teach the necessary skills to safely and more confidently participate in these activities for reaction and for forms of active transportation.
