NOTE: Halifax Transit passengers will notice a new uniform bus fleet is being introduced on Link routes. The specialized MetroLink buses that have been servicing Halifax Transit’s Link routes have reached the end of their lifespan and need to be retired. As this fleet is being phased out, passengers can expect to see standard Halifax Transit buses servicing Route 159 and 185.
The price to travel on a Link route remains the same and passengers will still experience the same direct, limited-stop service.
MetroLink is a direct, limited-stop, fully-accessible commuting option. Halifax Transit has two unique MetroLink routes for commuters in the Portland Hills and Sackville areas.
Route 159 Portland Hills MetroLink transport residents in the Portland Hills and Cole Harbour area directly to downtown Halifax.
Route 185 Sackville MetroLink transports residents in Sackville to downtown directly to downtown Halifax.
