Is your organization a SmartTrip member? If so, the SmartCycle program helps promote cycling. We’ll work with you to deliver cycling programs, events and materials for your workplace. Let's work together to encourage convenient, affordable and healthy ways for your employees to travel.
What are we offering? Halifax Regional Municipality staff can work with your organization to deliver:
- On-bike training, delivered by qualified staff
- Group rides, led by staff
- Bike maintenance sessions or pop-ups
- Info sessions and promos – safe riding, bike gear, routes, resources, etc.
- Multi-modal travel promos – mixing bike trips with other options
Why cycling? Helping people cycle is a win-win-win. For businesses, supporting cycling helps attract and retain employees and customers. It also reduces parking needs. For employees, cycling is a healthy, inexpensive, and sustainable travel option. For the community, more people on bikes means less traffic, less pollution, and healthier residents. With gas prices rising, more bike lanes opening, and spring weather here, it’s a great time to try SmartCycle. Workshops and programs are free for SmartTrip members.
