Halifax and West Community Council initiated an amendment to the Bedford Land Use By-Law to allow for Dog Day Care use within the ILI (Light Industrial) Zone in the Bedford Plan Area.
Proposal
There have been several requests to operate dog day care facilities within the Bedford Plan area. Currently, this use is not permitted in any zone within the Bedford Land Use By-Law. Therefore, the North West Community Council has requested that staff consider adding this use to the Light Industrial (ILI) Zone within the Bedford Plan area and provide a recommendation report.

The application will be considered under the Land Use By-Law Amendment process.
