A Public Information Meeting was held Monday September 18th, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at 202 Innovation Drive, Bedford-Hammonds Plains Community Centre Cafetorium.
Sunrose Land Use Consulting, on behalf of United Gulf Development Limited, is applying to amend an approved development agreement, to create an additional 60 residential units prior to the construction of a connector road from Moirs Mill Road to Hammonds Plains Road.
The applicant wishes to build an additional 60 residential units on Baha Court, Richardson Drive and a new cul-de-sac.
The Development Plans (provided below) outline the development proposal in detail, and include information related to the lot configuration.
The application will be considered under the substantive amendment to a development agreement process.
The application has been reviewed and is moving forward with public engagement. Once a public meeting has been scheduled, the application will be reviewed by North West Planning Advisory Committee for their comment.
Once an amendment to the development agreement is negotiated, Staff will complete a report providing a recommendation on whether North West Community Council should consider approving the proposed amending development agreement. Prior to any considerations on this matter, Community Council is required under the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter to hold a Public Hearing. At that time, an additional opportunity for public feedback is provided. Notices of the date, time and location of the Hearing will be advertised in the future. Please note that Public Hearings are a formal process and the procedures for the meetings are found in Administrative Order One.
