Application from DesignPoint Engineering & Surveying Ltd. requesting to enter into a Development Agreement to allow for a Mobile Home Park at 3575 Old Guysborough Road for 100 units.
Proposal
The applicant is requesting to enter into a Development Agreement at 3575 Old Guysborough Road (PID 41396623) to construct a new mobile home park of 100 units. Policy MU-3 in the Musquodoboit Valley/Dutch Settlement Municipal Planning Strategy states that Council may consider permitting mobile home parks through the provisions of a development agreement, which this application is being considered under. The major aspects of the proposal are as follows:
- 100 modular residential units;
- Common parking spaces and parkland with trail; and
- Access via a private driveway from Old Guysborough Road.
The Development Plans (provided below) outline the development proposal in detail, and include information related to the project rationale, traffic impact, landscaping, stormwater and groundwater.
Process
The application will be considered under the Development Agreement process.
Status
Currently this application is at the team review stage of the process where the request is reviewed by internal municipal staff as well as external agencies.
