Request
Application from Stephen Adams, on behalf of the property owner of PID 00397992, to rezone the access easement located on PID 00649178 from PA (Protected Area) to R-2 (Two Unit Dwelling) to allow for residential uses to be permitted on PID 00397992.
Proposal
The applicant is requesting to rezone the access easement located on Crown Lands at PID 00397992 to provide access for and permit residential uses on PID 00397992.
The major aspects of the proposal are as follows:
- Rezone the access easement located on PID 00397992 from Protected Area (PA) zone to Two Unit Dwelling (R-2) zone; and
- The proposed rezoning of the access easement will allow for residential uses to the permitted on the adjacent property PID 00397992.
The Development Plans (provided below) outline the development proposal in detail, and include information related to the project rationale.

The application will be considered under the Rezoning process.
Status
The public engagement stage has ended. Thank you to those that provided comments.
Staff are now conducting a detailed review of the proposal and are in the process of drafting a staff recommendation which will be presented to the Halifax and West Community Council.

The applicant has submitted plans and studies required by HRM staff to properly evaluate the application. The documents are also available for review at the Planning Applications office at 5251 Duke Street, Halifax, Suite 300.
