Application from Zzap Consulting Inc., requesting on behalf of the landowner of 71 Greenpark Close in Halifax (PID 41071994), to discharge an existing development agreement and enter into a new development agreement to allow for a multi-unit development consisting of 400 residential units in two towers on a shared parking podium.
Proposal
The applicant is requesting to discharge an existing development agreement and enter into a new development agreement to allow for two residential towers on a shared parking podium. The proposal includes:
- Approximately 400 residential units;
- Approximately 65 surface parking spaces (visitor at front and resident at rear) with the remaining parking located in the parking structure;
- Three access points onto Greenpark Close;
- Retention of natural vegetation wherever possible;
- Pedestrian walkways.
The Development Plans (provided below) outline the development proposal in detail, and include information related to the project rationale, site layout, traffic impact, and servicing.
Process
The application will be considered under the Development Agreement Discharge process and the Development Agreement process.
Status
Currently this application is at the team review stage of the process where the request is reviewed by internal municipal staff as well as external agencies.
Documents Submitted for Evaluation
The applicant has submitted plans and studies required by HRM staff to properly evaluate the application. The documents are also available for review at the Planning Applications office at 5251 Duke Street, Halifax, Suite 300.
