This is an update to the previously reported weapons complaint that occurred in the parking lot at the Halifax Shopping Center on September 7 at 12:04 p.m. In this incident a 14-year-old female was sprayed with a sensory irritant. The HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section have arrested a 39-year-old man from the Halifax area in relation to this offence. The suspect is facing multiple weapons related charges including:
Administering a noxious thingAssault with a weaponPossession of a prohibited or restricted weaponPossession of a weapon dangerous
The accused in this matter has been released pending his court appearance on October 30 at Halifax Provincial Court.
