At 9:55 p.m. on September 9, officers were dispatched to assist HRM Fire & Emergency with several buses that were on fire in the Metro Transit centre in Burnside. HRM Fire & Emergency were able to quickly extinguish the fire, however three buses were destroyed. Investigators from both HRM Fire and Halifax Regional Police attended and examined the scene. At this time the cause of the fire has not been determined. Investigators will continue their investigation today during the daylight hours.
