On September 8, at 9:10 p.m., officers responded to a vehicle – pedestrian collision at the intersection of Main Avenue and Titus Street in Halifax. A 54-year-old man was crossing Titus Street eastbound in a marked crosswalk when he was struck. The driver, a 73-year-old man was travelling eastbound on Main Avenue and was attempting to make a right hand turn onto Titus Street when he struck the victim.

The victim received minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver has been charged under the Motor Vehicle Act for Failing to Yield to a pedestrian in a Crosswalk Section 125(1).
