On September 25, at 4:36 a.m., police received a call from a resident in the area of Old Sambro Road and Lee Murphy Crescent reporting that a truck had crashed into the ditch in front of his property. A full size pickup truck was inbound and failed to negotiate the turn. It crossed the roadway and crashed into a nearby property striking a boulder and trees. When officers arrived on scene, a 23-year-old man had sustained serious injuries and was attempting to exit the truck. He was rushed to hospital by EHS and he remains under police guard. The vehicle was determined to have been stolen from a nearby residence overnight. Accident investigators are also on scene and the incident remains under investigation,criminal charges are pending.
