On October 9, at 3:30 p.m., police responded to a robbery in the 0 - 100 block of Primrose Street in Dartmouth. The victim was in the area to meet an acquaintance when the suspect approached him, pointed what the victim believed to be a firearm at him, and demanded money. The victim and suspect were not known to each other. The victim ran into a nearby parking lot without giving any money to the suspect. The victim called police and numerous units arrived. Police were able to identify a suspect and he was taken into custody without incident after a short time. A 24-year-old man will be appearing in court later today facing robbery and various weapons charges. The General Investigative Section is currently investigating.
