On November 12, at 2:10 a.m. officers stopped a driver on Symonds Street in Dartmouth for a traffic violation. As the officer approached on foot, the vehicle fled from him. The officer called in the vehicle's direction of travel and within a couple of minutes the suspect vehicle was located unoccupied after it struck at stop sign at Frederick Street & Woodland Avenue. Numerous units and K-9 unit responded to the scene and conducted a search for the suspect that was unsuccessful. During the course of the investigation it was determined that the vehicle was stolen.
