On November 19, at 7:40 p.m., Police responded to a hit & run motor vehicle collision that occurred near 498 Herring Cove Road in Halifax. It appears that the run vehicle made a u-turn in the roadway resulting in a collision with another vehicle outbound on Herring Cove Road which ended up in a ditch on the roadside. There were three occupants in the struck vehicle, a man, a woman and a young girl. All three were taken to hospital for precautionary reasons and all have been released.
Numerous police units attended the scene, the surrounding area was checked and the vehicle that fled was located in the 100 Block of Old Sambro Road. The vehicle was seized and is undergoing forensic examination at this time. No arrests have been made in this matter. This incident remains under investigation.
