On December 20, at approximately 3:10 a.m. Halifax Regional Police received a call from a tenant of the Stardust Motel on the Bedford Highway that they had heard what they believed to be several gunshots at approximately 2:00 a.m. Police were not called at that time but when the tenant was outside at 3:10 a.m. he noticed what he believed to be a bullet hole in one of the doors of the hotel. There is no indication that anyone was injured during the incident and at this time the Halifax Regional Police Forensic Identification Section and patrol officers are on scene gathering evidence.
