On February 12, at 8:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of Pleasant Street and Belmont Avenue in Dartmouth for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old woman remained at the scene and the pedestrian, a 22-year-old woman was taken to the QE2 by EHS with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.
At the time of the accident the vehicle involved was travelling outbound on Pleasant Street and the pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk. Accident Investigation team was called in and are presently handling the investigation.
