On February 13, at 9:35 p.m. the Halifax Regional Police responded to the Stardust Hotel, 1067 Bedford Highway for a report of a physical disturbance. A 19 year old male victim was located and transported to the QE11 for treatment by EHS. Five individuals were located at the scene, three men and two female youth. The three men were taken into custody and transported to the Halifax Regional Police Headquarters. The two female youth were also transported to Headquarters. Members of the Integrated General Investigative Section attended the hospital to speak with the victim. At this time the victim is un co-operative with police. The victim suffered non life threatening injuries. The parties involved in this dispute are known to one another. The three men confronted the victim at the hotel and during the physical disturbance the victim was assaulted by two of the men.
A 36-year-old man and a 18-year-old man are facing criminal charges of Assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm and will be appearing in court at a later date. The third man involved was released without charges.
The two female youth aged 14 and 15 were found to be in breach of court conditions and will be appearing in court today.
