On February 22, at approximately 3:40 p.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons call in the area of Connaught Avenue and Edinburgh Street in Halifax. A driver travelling south on Connaught stopped for a man who crossed the street in front of her vehicle. When she slowed down for this man, he withdrew a handgun from the waist band area of his pants. He did not point the firearm at her and he continued across the street. Police responded to the area and a K-9 unit conducted a track with negative results. The suspect is described as a white man in his early 20’s, wearing black baggy pants, a black hoody and a black cap.
