On February 23, at 7:00pm. members responded to the intersection of Chain Lake Drive and Susie Lake Crescent to a report of a female in a wheelchair being struck by a vehicle while in a marked crosswalk. The 53-year-old female pedestrian was eastbound on Chain Lake Drive when she was struck by a vehicle that was turning right from Susie Lake Crescent onto Chain Lake Drive The 52-year-old male driver was issued a summary offence ticket under the motor vehicle act for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk. The pedestrian was taken to the QE II for treatment of minor injuries.
