On June 17, at 7:40 p.m.,a man called police to report that he was struck by a vehicle while he was crossing Chebucto Road at Mumford Road in Halifax while he was in the crosswalk . The driver of the vehicle was turning right onto Mumford Roadd from Chebucto Road and struck the pedestrian causing him to fall to the ground. The male driver stopped at the scene and provided his information. The 28-year-old male pedestrian was not injured and walked home where he called police.
The 44-year-old male driver was issued a Summary Offense ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
