On June 29, at 5:30 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a multiple vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Robie Street and Young Street in Halifax. A Military Police vehicle was travelling east on Young Street through the intersection with its emergency equipment activated. The Military Police vehicle struck a vehicle which was travelling north on Robie Street. The second vehicle was then struck by a third vehicle. The military police vehicle travelled up onto a lawn coming to rest after striking a deck attached to a residence at the corner of Robie Street and Young Street.
The three adult male drivers of the involved vehicles, along with two adult male passengers were taken to hospital by EHS for medical assessment. The driver of the second vehicle involved and the driver and passenger of the third vehicle involved suffered non life threatening injuries. The driver and passenger of the military police vehicle suffered minor injuries.
