On July 5, at 6:00 p.m. Halifax Regional Police officers responded to an apartment in the 200 block of Wyse Road in Dartmouth to assist an EHS paramedic. The paramedic was at this apartment for a call of an unconscious man. As EHS worked on the male, he regained conscious and became very combative and eventually chased the paramedic from the apartment with a knife. The paramedic was not injured. Officers arrived at the apartment and arrested the 31-year-old man who threatened officers. He is still in police custody and will be attending Dartmouth Provincial Court on Monday July 7, 2014 to face charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats and breaching a court order.
