15-144780 Police investigate weapons complaint

At 10:18 p.m. on Friday, October 9, Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons complaint at a residence on Stephen Street in Dartmouth. The resident heard a knock at the door and when the 62-year-old man answered, he was sprayed in the face with a sensory irritant. He then slammed the door on the suspect, resulting in the suspect being unable to gain entry into the house and then fleeing the area on foot. The victim was assessed and treated by EHS at the scene.

The suspect is described as a white man in his twenties, 5’7, with a slim build and wearing a navy blue hoodie and a hat at the time of the incident. Officers in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division will continue the investigation.
