At approximately 7:25 p.m. police received a report of a woman being stabbed at a residence in the 5600 block of North Street in Halifax. Police responded to the weapons call and a 22-year-old woman was taken to hospital as a result of the stabbing. Responding officers set up containment at the address with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team and two women were removed from the scene; a 22-year-old woman is in custody and the other woman was taken to the hospital for assessment as she had also been stabbed. Both of the victims suffered non-life threatening injuries. All three people are known to each other.
22-year-old Hanna Jessica Bauer of Halifax was held in custody overnight, she will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges aggravated of assault (x2) and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes. .
