On January 7, at 5:50 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a weapons involved dispute concerning a taxi and a fare in the 3000 block of Robie Street in Halifax. A taxi driver, a man and a woman were involved in a verbal argument related to their fare which resulted in a knife being produced by the fare, however no one was injured. HRP officers arrested a man and a woman, both 18, at the scene without incident and seized a large knife.

Both are being held in custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court in the morning. The man is charged with Robbery, Possession of a dangerous weapon, Assault with a weapon, Carrying a concealed weapon and Breach of Probation. The woman is charged with Robbery, Possession of a dangerous weapon, Assault with a weapon and Obstruction.
