On July 2, at approximately 11:05 p.m., members of the Halifax Regional Police responded to the Metro Pizza located on Lady Hammond Road in Halifax for a report of an attempted robbery at this location. A man entered the store carrying a firearm and demanded money from an employee; he however fled the store empty handed. The suspect is described as a man and approximately 5’5" to 5’8" tall with a medium build, wearing gray jogging pants and a black hoodie with a silver logo. The male suspect did have a mask covering his face at the time of the robbery. The employees were not injured during the incident. Members of the Integrated General Investigation Section are continuing the investigation.
