A third man is facing charges after a violent robbery on July 9 in Halifax.

At 9:30 p.m. officers responded to a robbery call in the 2100 block of Barrington Street. A 43-year-old male victim was approached by several suspects and was severely beaten. The suspects fled the area on foot after stealing the victim’s money. The victim made his way to a nearby business and called police. He was transported to hospital by EHS where he was treated for serious facial injuries. Investigators believe this incident was drug related and wasn’t random.

At 6:30 p.m. last night, 18-year-old Alexander Kenneth Pritchett was arrested in relation to this incident. He was held in custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of assault causing bodily harm and two counts of breach of court orders.

Twenty-seven-year-old Martin Andrew Ross and 33-year-old Holly Lynn MacDonald have already been charged in relation to this incident.
