Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 (Halifax, NS) - The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that work will begin on Monday, Nov. 23, to extend the natural gas main on Agricola Street, between Russell Street and Macara Street.
During construction, stop and go traffic should be expected. No work will take place during the peak hours of 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The pipeline installation and temporary pavement restoration is expected to take two weeks. Please note permanent pavement restoration is weather dependent and may have to be delayed until the spring.
Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
Heritage Gas and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
