Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that paving will take place tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday on Akerley Boulevard between Windmill Road and Joseph Zatzman Drive.
Crews will be on site from 6 a.m. until midnight each day. The work will require some lane closures but two-way traffic will be maintained on one side of the boulevard. Traffic control personnel will be in place while work is underway.
There will be times when traffic signals will have to be shut down. These shut downs will occur at:
- Akerley Boulevard at Mosher Drive – signals will be off all day Saturday and Sunday
- Akerley Boulevard at Windmill Road – signals will be off Saturday evening and Sunday morning
- Akerley Boulevard at Joseph Zatzman Drive – signals will be off Saturday morning and Sunday evening
Motorists should expect long delays in the area and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible. The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this street closure and road work may cause.
