Shortly before 1:00 am on August 4, Central Division officers were called to the 2500 block of Elm Street in Halifax at the request of Halifax Regional Fire.
Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Services were called to the area to extinguish a fire that was on the deck. Upon inspection fire fighters noted what appeared to be an incendiary device and called police.
Damage was centralized to the deck of the home and was extinguished quickly.
No one was injured in this incident and officers are still completing the preliminary investigation. More information will be released when it becomes available.
