On June 19, at 7:47 p.m., officers responded to Dutch Village Road in relation to a man chasing another man with an axe. The victim received a cut to the upper part of his head and was transported to hospital by EHS for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Officers arrested 2 men at the scene. A 53-year-old male is facing a charges of assault with a weapon and was released from custody on a Promise To Appear and an Undertaking. A 30-year-old man has also been charged with assault and was also released on a Promise To Appear and an Undertaking. Both will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on July 28, 2015. This was not a random incident as the 2 accused are known to the victim. There is no update at this time on the victim’s injuries.
