On February 16, at 9:00 p.m., the Halifax Regional Police Emergency Response Team assisted investigators from the Major Crime Section and executed a search warrant at a residence located at the 500 Block of the Herring Cove Road, Halifax. A 61-year-old man was arrested at the scene and transported to Halifax Regional Police Headquarters to be interviewed by investigators. This is in relation to an assault between two individuals known to each other and was not random. There was no threat to public safety either. The investigation is ongoing.
This incident is not related to the Threats investigation that has been ongoing for the past several days.
