Barrington Street – Street light maintenance

UPDATE (Friday, Jan. 10, 2 p.m.) This work will not be going ahead on Sunday due to the impending bad weather. The work will now take place on Sunday, Jan. 19.

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists street light maintenance will be performed on Sunday, Jan. 12 on Barrington Street between the MacKay Bridge and Glebe Street.

Crews will be on site from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be stop-and-go traffic while work is underway. Traffic safety personnel will direct motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists around the worksite, as needed.

Motorists should expect delays in the area and are asked to take alternative routes whenever possible.
