Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 (Halifax, NS) - The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that work will take place tomorrow, Nov. 21, to complete permanent pavement restoration following the natural gas main installation on the Bedford Highway, at the intersection with Bayview Road. Traffic control will be on site to begin setting up the lane reductions at 7 a.m. and construction work will begin at 8 a.m. The traffic signals at the intersection will be shut off and stop and go traffic will be in place. The signals are expected to be turned back on by 12 p.m., but lane drops may be in place during the afternoon hours while crews complete work outside of the intersection. Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible. Heritage Gas and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
