On December 17, at 1 a.m. the victim in this incident, a 25 year old man, was home alone in his apartment in the 2600 block of Gladstone St in Halifax. He heard a knock at his door and when he answered he was confronted by 3 men, all of whom had their faces covered, and one was armed with a hand gun and one with a crow bar. The victim was forced back in to his apartment. The suspects ransacked the apartment and removed various items of electronics, clothing and personal items. The suspects then left the apartment. The victim, who was not injured during the incident, ran to a nearby store and called police. Numerous Halifax Regional Police units attended and the K-9 unit attempted a track without success.

The three suspects are described as follows: Suspect #1: white male, 5’8 in height, wearing a dark toque, blue and white scarf, dark winter coat and jeans, Suspect #2: white male, wearing a grey winter coat with the hood over his face, dark boots, Suspect#3: white male, wearing a dark winter coat and a mask over his face.
