At 8:25 a.m. Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a car/pedestrian accident at the intersection of Cogswell Street and Maynard Street in Halifax.
A man was driving westbound on Cogswell Street and stopped to make his way onto Maynard Street. In the process of backing up, the driver of the vehicle struck a man in the roadway. The pedestrian was transported to the QE11, treated for minor injuries and released. The driver of the vehicle was issued a Summary Offence Ticket for Unsafe Backing.
