A Criminal Code charge against a Halifax Regional Police (HRP) officer has been withdrawn.
On May 16, 2013, HRP issued a media release concerning Constable Daniel Kavanaugh being charged with assault. The charge stemmed from a May 4 incident that was investigated by Windsor RCMP. Earlier this morning, the assault charge was withdrawn by the Crown in Kentville Provincial Court.
