Charges laid in Kevin Bowser homicide

Shilo Beals was arrested in New Tecumseth , Ontario on August 27 by the Ontario Provincial Police. He will be returned to Nova Scotia to answer to the charges.

A man faces charges in connection with the homicide of Kevin Bowser.

On July 10, 2004, at approximately 10:00 p.m., police responded to a report of a shooting near 5450 Uniacke Street in Halifax. Upon arrival, officers located 28-year-old Kevin James Bowser, in front of 5446 Uniacke Street, suffering from gunshot wounds. Kevin was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.

Earlier today, a Canada-wide arrest warrant was issued for 31-year-old Shilo Marcino Beals of Cherry Brook.  He has been charged with first degree murder and six weapons-related offences. He is described as a black man, 5’10”, 161 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.

Shilo Beals is believed to be in the Halifax area at this time.  He is considered armed and dangerous and members of the public should not approach him or try to take matters into their own hands.
